The lathe is made to
produce Pneumatic and Hydraulic High Pressure Cylinders of various Diameter,
Length and Thickness combinations.
The Hydraulic Spinning
Lathe, make BoKo, manufactured in year 1994 is equipped with three working
rollers, piece ejector, oil cooling equipment and lubrication unit.
Headstock is of welded
and stabilized steel, with interior ribs to give a larger hardness. It contains
the main spindle in tempered and rectified steel, mounted on special bearings to
support the radial and axial efforts. At the end, there is the mould coupling
according to DIN 55027 size 15.
Inside, there is a set
of gears formed by the 3 axis and the cog-wheels, made in alloyed steel,
tempered and rectified and moved by the motor, which allows to obtain speeds
without notching from 50 to 600 rpm.
This motor is 82 kw
power. It is three phase and cooling forced by an independent motor.
Bench is stabilized
steel plate to avoid any deformation. It has some guides for the slides working
system in tempered and rectified steel in all its length.
These guides of the
working zone are protected by means of telescopic and metallic protection
systems. Inside the bench, there is a decantation system to let the oil and
cooling liquid go out easily.
Main Slide, it slides
along the bench guides over lineal roller units. At the end on top of it, there
are three transversal carriages at 120 degrees, which hold the working rollers.
movements of the working rollers are moved by their ball spindles.
The working rollers are
mounted on tempered and rectified steel axis. To support the radial efforts and
axial stresses there are a combination of various kinds of bearings like needle
The three rollers are
adjustable by means of their supports in frontal position of alignment, being
possible to reach a maximum diameter of 650mm. They also have a hydraulic motor
in each roller, with adjustable revolving speed according to the diameter of the
piece to be worked, to avoid the rollers and pieces to get damaged. This
arrangement gives maximum advantage for manufacturing high strength pneumatic
and hydraulic cylinders from hardened and tempered materials of high strength to
give maximum durability. Tailstock is not prescribed for the purpose of
manufacturing cylinders and hence not provided. Electric Board, all the
auxiliary and power command elements are suited inside the board. This board is
detachable and mounted on a foot. The doors are locked with lever to avoid any
disturbance to process. Inside it, there are all the fuses for the command at
the exit of the transformer, auxiliary contactors and timers for the command, a
switch for the hydraulic group motor and an equipment to change the speed for
the main motor. Piece Ejector is important and provided because of the
characteristics of the work and the shape of the pieces to be made, it is
necessary to use a piece ejector. Apart from the difficulty in removing the
cylinder from the tooling because of the fixing and air effects, almost like
creating vacuum, there is also the lack of time to do it by laborious and hard
manual method. The axis of the ejector is directly moved by the hydraulic
cylinder, commanded by valves connected to the machine. The maximum power of the
ejectors cylinder is 150kn. Hydraulic Group is independent of the machine, is
moved by a 18kw motor at 1500 rpm which moves the flow pump to operate the whole
machine and all the accessories. There are also all the control and regulation
elements for each movement. It includes a temperature thermostat station for the
cooling system, in order to keep the oil temperature constantly at its ambient
Cooling System is
independent from the machine. It has a 2500 liter capacity and is moved by an
motor pump of 7.7 kw at 1500 rpm, giving a 450l/min flow. It also contains a
filter and a liquid cooling system to maintain the temperature at an ambient
level. Inside the tank there is a removable plate with a filtering mesh to
collect the metallic pieces that may fall from the work piece being made. Slides
Greasing System works in conjunction with the hydraulic group at medium pressure
which allows a wide range of greasing frequencies, with a perfect control of the
right reception of the lubricant, in each part to be greased. Headstock Greasing
System is also an independent group attached to the headstock, giving an oil
volume of 5 l/min, distributed to the different bearings and gears with the
corresponding proportions, which are delivered previously graded. It has the
necessary filter elements, security valve and level cooling systems.
